Is this group for me?

I sure hope so! We welcome everyone who wants to relax and get some good board gaming played in a positive atmosphere. If you’re reading this that means you.

Who is bg@semc affiliated with?

As the name denotes we are a part of the SEMC Church and get to use their great facilities.

A church? What’s the agenda?

No agenda! We aim to share great times playing great games and building great relationships. A joy of games is all you need to attend.

When are game nights scheduled?

To help the most number of people attend we have been running a poll so that you can vote on which day works best for you. You can sign up for the mailing list and/or visit these forums to see when the next poll or game night will be.

If you vote on a day as available and that day is chosen, please try your hardest to attend. If you don’t then you may be preventing others from attending.

You don’t have to vote in the poll to show up. Just keep checking the forums, mailing list or calendar for upcoming dates.

We will try to our best to spread the game nights between weekends and weekdays so that everyone has a chance of attending. I know it might be easier for some of you if we’d have a set date every month but some people have strict work schedules that would not allow them to attend. We try our best to accommodate everyone.

Most regular game nights we start at 6:30pm and go until 11:30pm.

You are welcome to bring your own snacks/drinks and even bring more to share. We often have a communal table where we share various goodies with each other.

Also, please be conscientious of eating and drinking while playing board games. The people who own these games most likely don’t want your greasy fingers wrecking the cardboard.

If you want to share ordering take out, like pizza, use these forums to find others who would also like to order with you.

What should I bring?

For food, see the question above.

Also bring any board games you’d like to play. Please stick to games that won’t offend others. If you’re not sure feel free to contact us about it.

A friend! Yes, you don’t need to vote in the poll to show up. Bring as many people as you can. Tabletop gaming is nothing without the people to play them. The more the merrier.

What should I not bring?

Please do not bring any alcohol, games that are offensive, profanity, or bad attitudes. Thank you!
